Cooking class weekend

Day 1 - Friday: Arrival in Cremona, accommodation at Locanda del Carrobbio. Seven different rooms in the quiet countryside of Cremona await you for a weekend full of taste. In the afternoon visit the Azienda Agricola CĂ  Alemanni , an educational farm where you can learn about the cycle of cheese production and in its shop purchase any of the 35 local cheese products. Return to the city and dinner in a restaurant partner of "Strada del Gusto Cremone" with typical seasonal dishes. Return to Carrobbio and overnight.

Day 2 - Saturday: Breakfast then morning city tour. The visit starts from the Town Hall Square overlooked by the Town Hall and the Loggia dei Militi. It continues with a visit of the Torrazzo (the highest bell tower in Europe), the Cathedral and the octagonal Baptistery. From the square through Piazza Stradivari and Corso Vittorio Emanuele you reach the neoclassical Teatro Ponchielli, and returning by the same route we reach the Gallery XXV Aprile, a classic example of the architecture of the fascist period. The visit ends to the Gardens of Piazza Roma where is located the tombstone of Antonio Stradivari, the famous violin maker. Chance to visit (booking necessary) a violin maker's shop and the new Violin Museum in which are preserved the historical masterpieces of the Cremonese violin making tradition. Free lunch.

In the afternoon, followed by the cook Monica, cooking class. In three hours will be processed the culinary themes characteristic of the area of Cremona with local ingredients, like:

- Water and Earth: the preparation of freshwater fish and vegetables

- The farmer: cheeses, meats and vegetables

- Country bakery: homemade bread, homemade cakes, preserves and jams

Special requests are always possible.

Dinner at the Carrobbio with chance to eat what you have cooked. Overnight.

Day 3 - Sunday: Breakfast, to be consumed until 11.00 am. Free lunch. All the day at your disposal for walked tours and bike tours starting from Carrobbio.
